Wonderland of Winter Whites

With thousands of hues to choose from, selecting the perfect white paint can be a daunting task. White paints can be notorious for inconsistency – white can change its appearance during different times of the day, or even strike unexpected undertones when placed against other colors. Choosing the perfect white paint color can often be one of the most difficult decisions in a project.

Here are a few of my favorite “tried and true” whites from Benjamin Moore. Used countless times, these colors will never disappoint!

For a true white that is bright and clean, try:

Decorator's White

Super White

Chantilly Lace

For a crisp off-white with creamy undertones, try:

White Dove

Acadia White

Simply White (Benjamin Moore’s 2016 “Color of the Year”)

For a classic warm white with just a hint of beige, try:

China White

Lily of the Valley

Huntington White

For a trendier warm white with tinges of greige or gray, try:

Paper White

Winter Orchard

Intense White

Last, but not least, for a subtle green-tinted white that pairs well with cool-colored surroundings, try:

White Wisp

Always remember the importance of selecting a paint sheen along with your color. Eggshell or satin sheen help to reflect light. Easily cleanable, semi-gloss sheen is a great choice for high traffic areas and frequently ‘fingerprinted’ elements such as doors, cabinets and trim. High gloss sheen can achieve a very chic and modern look without using an expensive multi-step lacquered finish.

Best wishes on the thrilling journey to choosing the right white!

Michele
