Oooo La La Art
One of my favorite artists is Alexa Meade. Her work is done with acrylic paint and she uses real life people for her canvas. It is an amazing process taking the 3-dimensional world and turning it into a 2-dimensional painting. It is so original, unique, and unpredictable that it draws you in immediately. I love it!! http://www.alexameade.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMn2q35HBeQ

Pucker Up
My all-time favorite make-up accessory is lipstick! Even if you don’t get ready for the day by applying a lipstick you instantly look like you spent hours prepping. It is amazing! My favorite go to lipstick is Anastasia’s “Pale Pink” featured on the bottom left.

2016's Favorite Pantones
2016’s Pantone Color(s) of the year Rose Quartz and Serenity. You can see how this palette showed up in a lot of ways in the interior design world. From paint on walls, to earthenware, bedding, furniture and more. It is a harmonious natural gradient found in beautiful summer sunsets, on purple mountains and beaches.

How Fashion Influences Interior Design
Due to social media, designers from the fashion industry and the interior design industry are bridging the gap between up and coming pattern, color and trend much quicker than they ever have in the past. Color As Nature Designed It
The Perfect Palette is Right Outside Our team was recently in Big Sky Montana working on a some really amazing residential projects and we had the opportunity to hike to Oussel Falls. During the hike I kept thinking (and commenting) on how beautiful the tones of the landscape were. That we had unknowingly incorporated many of these tones into our furniture and color palette presentations- here they were reflected in the Montana landscape, which is surprisingly different from

Hot Decor & Furniture
Zgallerie and Kathy Kuo are some of my favorites for beautiful, distinct furniture and décor pieces. They both have a traditional yet contemporary design incorporating unique textures that I love. Alex Mauerhan

What's In A Name?
A Rose by Any Other Name When we initially announced our company’s name, I’m sure a lot of people thought that Design Collective West was a mouth-full. Now that we have been in business for over a year, the time has come to put any questions to rest, and explain why we chose Design Collective West as our moniker. After all, we’re very proud of the name, and perhaps some of our new clients are curious about its origins. In a series of long and boring naming sessions, Michele a

Fur The Love
I am currently obsessed with FUR. I like to combine different types of materials/textiles such as fur, cowhide, velvet, leather, and suede all together in the same room. The textures are aesthetically pleasing and create a room that is warm and inviting. Alex Mauerhan
